Volunteering Expectations
Ettrick Youth Sports Club is a small organization run by volunteers. Our Board of Directors are volunteers. We need each family to volunteer to keep our organization functioning and to keep program costs down.
Each family is required to volunteer four (4) times during the season. Volunteering can consist of working in the concession stand, umping, working the scoreboard or taking book. A minimum of 2 volunteer times must be in the concession stand. At the beginning of each season, each family will submit a check to secure your volunteer time. Volunteer checks should be made out to EYSC. A $100 deposit is required per player, with a max of $200 per family.
At the end of the season, if your family has met the required four (4) volunteer times, your check will be returned to you. If you have not met your volunteer requirements, your check will be cashed by September 1st and used to cover EYSC expenses.

Volunteering Opportunities
Concession Stand
The concession stand is open an hour before all home games until the games are over. The concession stand needs two volunteers per shift. At least two (2) of your volunteering times must be served in the concession stand. The concession stand is where we make the majority of our funds. Scorebook and Score Board
At home games, someone is needed to run the score board. Also, many coaches need a volunteer to keep their scorebook. These volunteer opportunities can account for two (2) of your four required volunteer times. Other Volunteer Opportunities
- Other tournament hosts: Occasionally EYSC hosts other groups on our fields. Volunteer opportunities will exist in the concession stand, score board and field maintenance.
- T-ball and Rookie Ball assistant coaches: This year if parents volunteer to assist with the t-ball and rookie ball practices and games, this can be used in place of volunteer times. If you volunteer to be an assistant coach, you will report to the head coach and must attend all practices and games. If you are unable to attend a practice or game, you are responsible for finding your own replacement. The head coach for each team will be in charge of the number of volunteer coaches needed.
